In the above example we visited the Mashable blog. We then clicked the bookmark to open the toolbar. The Dashboard link examines the SEO lengths for HTML Titles and Meta data. The title here is 66 characters, which is really close to the maximum of 70. It is ill-advised to go with a published title longer than 70 characters. Reserve longer titles for feed services.

The Mashable page also has excellent scores with its use of Meta data. Both Meta Keywords and Meta Description was detected, and the containers were found to have good count content. Meta Keywords should be short and concise. Meta descriptions should likewise be short enough to suffice as a three or four sentence description at most. Visit our Dashboard page for more details.

When you click the Pagerank Integrity℠ link, you trigger the Javascript crawler in the background. It begins by checking for the existence of a robots.txt file in the valid location. It also checks to see if the site has published a Google Sitemap file at the default location, which is at a sitemap.xml address in the root. The crawler then fetches the homepage, and the first set of links from the homepage for a good surface crawl where Pagerank is most pooled in the top pyramid at a given site. The result is a Pagerank Integrity℠? profile of the site.

It crawls these pages, one-by-one, tabulating the links into two groups as it goes down through the addresses. If any page requires a login, you will get the dialog. You can choose to complete it or cancel. The crawl will timeout on pages that take too long, and move to the next. If at anytime, things seem to take some minutes, simply wait or click any other link to stop crawling.

When finished, calculation of Pagerank Integrity℠ is shown as the ratio between links that point internally, versus links that are outward bound. The score is canonically aware. That is, the 'www' version of the site's address is different than the one without. All sub-domain virtual hosts, such as travel.yahoo.com, are intentionally limited to that virtual-hostname.

You can stop a crawl at anytime by clicking another link. You can also use your browser address bar to navigate to another address. Run multiple copies of the crawler by opening more than one copy in more than one browser tab. You are only limited by your bandwidth and available memory!

Crawling for newly acquired Backlinks combined with your Client Center Tools allows you to transmit new links to the back-end without even having to be logged in. It is all performed using secure servers over SSL.

The crawler works alongside the SearchReturn℠ Client Center. Once you've signed up and have access, an encrypted token connects your JS Crawler over Secure Server (SSL: Secure Sockets Layer) to transmit link status changes to the Client Center in the the background.
